Introduction to Reiki

We have been listening to what our clients want and have decided to relay information to you all on a regular basis on the most common topics that come up.  There will be a series of posts on different topics.  The first of this is our introduction to Reiki

WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki is primarily seen in the Western world as a complimentary therapy, it is a safe, gentle, non-intrusive, hands-on healing technique that uses spiritual energy to treat physical ailments. The Japanese word reiki means spiritual energy or universal life-force energy. However, Reiki is much more than a physical therapy; it is a holistic system for balancing, healing and harmonising all aspects of the person - body, mind, emotions and spirit - promoting relaxation and a sense of well-being.

Reiki is therefore healing in its most all-encompassing sense - healing the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual aspects enables a person to become whole, or 'holy' in what was possibly the original sense of the word. Unlike other complementary or alternative therapies, the practice of Reiki is also a spiritual discipline that includes meditation, energy-cleansing techniques and spiritual principles for living, and practitioners are encouraged to use Reiki on themselves daily not only for self-healing, but also to increase self-awareness, personal growth and spiritual development.

Jules is an experienced Reiki Practitioner who works with her clients to ensure that their needs are met holistically.  Her clients always walk away from a therapy feeling relaxed and refreshed.  And more often than not come back for future treatments.  If you would like to find out more about Reiki pop in for a chat.
